Gmail Announces Responsive Support

"It's about time!" is what most people are saying about Gmail's new responsive email support that is supposed to arrive later this month.

THIS IS JUST ONE PART OF AN OVERALL EFFORT TO EXPAND CSS SUPPORT IN GMAIL AND TO GIVE EMAIL DESIGNERS MORE CONTROL OVER HOW THEIR MESSAGES ARE RENDERED.

Pierce Vollucci, Product Manager at Google

What are they changing exactly?
From a design perspective, the two major changes is their support of the <style> tag and media queries.

What is not included in this update?
The support of embedded web fonts (including Google fonts), animations and pseudo classes such as :hover will not be included. Don't be too disappointed though. The fact Gmail is finally supporting responsive emails is a huge step forward in the right direction!

Pantone's Top 10 Colors for Fall 2016

Thanks to apps like Instagram and Snapchat, more and more people are getting comfortable with colors and how they're used in design and fashion by seeing examples from other individuals. Women are becoming more acceptable of masculine colors and males are more acceptable of bolder colors. The blur between gender-specific fashions will continue to grow more popular.

My personal favorite of the 10 Pantone has chosen is Aurora Red. I tend to like warm colors, especially those in the rosy spectrum. This article also talks about how Aurora Red appears on Rihanna's latest album "Anti" and also Deadpool's costume. Not only do I LOVE comics, but I also admire Rihanna's music and sense of style. Read more about the colors and choose your favorite!
